Day   Activity
1   Arrive in kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Trip briefing and Cultural Show in the evening.
2   Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing
Morning Sightseeing of Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Afternoon sight seeeing of Bhaktapur. Boudhanath: This ancient colossal Stupa is one of the biggest in the world. The base of the stupa takes the shape of a mandala (symbolizing earth): on this four tiered base sits the dome (symbolizing water): then comes the spire (symbolizing fire): the umbrella (symbolizing air); and the pinnacle (symbolizing ether). The spire is made up of 13 steps, representing the 13 stages on the journey to nirvana. Pashupatinath: The most important Hindu temple in Nepal. It's one of the most important Shiva temples on the subcontinent and draws numerous devotees from all over Nepal and India, including many colorful sadhus- wandering ascetic Hindu holy men. Shiva is the destroyer and creator of the Hindu pantheon and appears in many forms. Bhaktapur: The third of the valley's ancient cities is another century-long rival of Katmandu. It has an impressive number of artistic treasures; it is rightly called "a living museum". The oldest part of the town is around Tachupal Tole (Dattatraya Square), to the east. Bhaktapur was the capital of the whole valley during the 14th to 16the centuries and during that time the focus of the town shifted west, to the Durbar Square area. Much of the town's great architecture dates from the end of the 17th century during the rule of King Bhupatendra Malla.. Drive to Nagarkot, overnight in Nagarkot.
3   Nagarkot
Nagarkot is a popular Hill station in Nepal. It is situated 32 km east of Katmandu at an altitude of 2,175m above sea level. The major peaks of the eastern Himalayas including Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) can be seen from here. Nagarkot is famous for its sunrise and sunsets. After sunrise view breakfast in hoteland early afternoon drive back to kathmandu. Afternoon in preparation for Tibet tour.
4   Kathmandu- Lhasa (3650m)
Fly on Air China to Lhasa. Upon arrival at the Gonggar Airport, you will be met by your Tibetan guide and transfer provided to Lhasa City. Overnight at the Shambhala Hotel
5   Lhasa Sightseeing Tour
Visit the Potala and Norbulinka Palace, Drepung and Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar.

7   Lhasa- Gyantse (3650m)
It is a 259km drive to Gyantse crossing the Kamba La (4794m) and Karo La (5010m) pass via the lake Yamdrok-Tso. Overnight at the Gyantse Hotel.
8   Gyantse- Shigatse (3900m)
AM: Visit the Khumbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery at Gyantse. Embark on a pleasant 2-hour (90 km) drive to Shigatse. PM: Sightseeing tour of the Tashilunpo Monastery and the free Tibetan Market. Overnight at the Shigatse Hotel.
9   Shigatse- Rongphu (4920m)
Approximately 8 hours drive to Xegar after which its a drive over rocky terrain on 4-WD by Land cruisers to the village of Dza Rongphu (304km). Overnight at the Rongbuk Guest house.
10   Explore Rongphu Valley.
11   Everest Base Camp excursion
A 2 hour trek from the Rongbuk Monastery will lead you to the base of the highest peak on earth �?? the north face of mount Everest (8848m) or Mount Quomolungma in Tibetan. Explore the base camp and the Ronghu Glacier. Retreat to Lodge. Later in the afternoon, drive back to Tingri (approx 96km �?? 3 hours) Overnight at the Snowleopard Hotel.
12   Tingri- Nyalamu (3750m)
214 km. Drive downhill to Nyalam, crossing two spectacular passes- the Lalung La (5082m) and Nyalamu (3800m) Pass. Overnight at the Snow lion Hotel.
13   Nyalamu- Kathmandu (1200m)
123km. Drive downhill to Zhangmu and to the friendship bridge where transportation awaits for the groups final Journey to Kathmandu.
14   Morning free in Kathmandu. Afternoon transfer to airport for onward flight.
