Nepal is the ultimate
destination for the trekking enthusiast offering a myriad of
possibilities from the short easy to demanding challenges of the snowy
peaks. Easy, moderate or rigorous - there is something for every
palate. Nepal has been called 'A trekkers' paradise' as her terrain
-mountain, hills & the Terai - offers some of the most spectacular
trekking routes in the world. The immense contrasts in altitudes &
climates found here support an equally spectacular mix of lifestyles,
vegetation & wildlife. Trekking in Nepal is as much a cultural
experience as a Himalaya adventure. In the shadows & foothills of
the icy pinnacles of the Himalayas. One passes picturesque charming
villages inhabited by diverse ethnic groups. Treks vary from the
expedition, high altitudes treks to simple easy paced walks.
Climate:
Nepal has four major seasons, namely
a) Winter: December to February (15Nov - 15 Feb )
b) Spring: March to May (16 Feb - 15 April)
c) Summer: June to August (16 April - 15 Sep)
d) Autumn: September to November (16 Sep - 14 Nov)

TREKKING SEASON:
October to may are all the good month to trek
in Nepal. When the weather is terrific with warm days & clear
skies. But trekking is possible at any time of the year depending on
your destination winter allows trekkers to trek in lower altitudes
because it is very cold above 4000 m. During monsoon trekking can be
organized in Mustang & Dolpo (Far west of Nepal) because these are
rain shadow areas north of Himalayas which is unaffected by monsoon.
TREKKING PERMIT:
1. Lower Dolpo & Kanchanjanga:-
Equivalent to US$ 10 per person per week for the first four weeks and
US$ 20 per week.
2. Manaslu:-
US$ 90 per person per week for trekking during Sept. - Nov. and US$ 75
per week during Dec. - Aug .
3. Humla :-
US$ 90 for the first 7 days and US$ 15 per day thereafter.
4. Upper Mustang & Upper Dolpo :-
US $ 700 per person for the first 10 days and US $ 70 per person per
day thereafter.
5. National park fee US $ 30.00 per person.
(Permit & National park fee is subject to change without prior
notice)
Trekking Grades:
A
An easy trek, a good walker, excursion or walking is recommended
before coming to Nepal, Walking in between 2000-3000m.
B
A Medium trek, recommended physical exercise before the trek. Maximum
altitude 3800m
C
Hard trek, Physical exercise is must before going to trek. Altitude
Maximum 4800m
D
Difficult, It is recommended for those who have been in Nepal
generally. Altitude Max. 6240m
